The Journal of National Security and Strategy is issued by the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies, which was inaugurated on the 6th of March 1965 during the period of late President/Gamal Abdel Nasser. It was a pioneer in spreading out the concepts of National Security and Strategy among the Egyptian Armed Forces Civil sectors in the country based on the insightful vision of the political leadership through the implementation of the following tasks:
1- Enhancing and developing the capabilities and skills of senior officers of the armed forces and those who are nominated at their workplaces by senior civil workers in the country.
2- Contributing to all related matters to strategic studies and scientific research in all fields of national security with sister and friendly countries through holding and attending internal and external strategic military scientific seminars and symposiums.
3- Strengthening the cultural and scientific ties between the Academy and the peer scientific bodies locally, regionally, and internationally.
4- Granting academic degrees to students from the Arab Republic of Egypt and expats from sister and friendly countries.
