Abstract

The study addresses the impact of Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa on Iran's role towards the Arab region and the limits of this influence, while shedding light on Iran's goals that it sought to achieve as a result of that operation, whether related to its regional role or its attempt to question the concept of deterrence in Israel. The study also examines the features of the Iranian role in supporting the Flood of Al-Aqsa, through activating what is called "unity of arenas", and Hezbollah's entry into the confrontation with Israel since the first days of the outbreak of the Flood of Al-Aqsa, as well as targeting American bases in the region, and disrupting navigation in the Red Sea through Houthi threats in Yemen, in addition to evaluating the potential repercussions of Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa on Iran, which included the decline of Iran's regional influence, the erosion of its militia network in the region, and accelerating the pace of uranium enrichment, in addition to the interest in modernizing the weapons arsenal of both the Iranian Guard and the army, and anticipating the future of the Iranian role in the Arab region, through Tehran strengthening its relations with the countries of the region, developing its relations with major powers such as Russia and China, and attempting to calm things down with Washington.
