If statistics are used in their multiple applications in many fields, this links them to security, which witnessed many developments, until it crystallized in its various dimensions in the 1990s, according to the operational definition of security presented by the United Nations Development Program, through the Human Development Report of 1994 within the framework of the concept of Human security: Seven types of security have been identified according to the type of threats, in addition to traditional security responsible for confronting military threats. These types are: economic security, food security, health security, environmental security, personal security, community security, and political security. These dimensions embody national security, the basic function of the state. National security is a complex, multi-dimensional phenomenon that links, in its study, social sciences, economics, international relations, governance systems, and others. The validity of the decisions taken by governments depends on the accuracy of their statistics. Therefore, it is important to study and analyze the correlation between statistics. and national security, with proposals presented to develop the use of statistical applications in implementing national security objectives.
